MGD Farm grows fresh garlic, potatoes, carrots, onions & radishes. We also raise our own chicken, pigs and sheep. We allow local ranchers to range their cattle on our land. In the near future we hope to offer fresh cut Christmas Trees.

We provide licensed custom cut & wrap services along with a small retail store that will contain farm fresh products from Farmhouse Butchery, MGD Farm, and other local partners. Some of our products will include fresh cut meat, homemade sausage, potatoes, onions and garlic on a seasonal basis.

Does Farmhouse Butchery have an abattoir?
Farmhouse Butchery is currently in the process of obtaining a license to expand our services to include an abattoir. Pending licensing approval, we hope to have our abattoir built and ready to serve our community in early 2022.
Why does Farmhouse Butchery/MGD Farm use a composting drum?
A composting drum aligns with our commitment to preserve the environment. It is clean and simple to operate and maintain while eliminating ground & water contamination. It uses minimal electricity and reduces odor and pathogens. An added benefit is that the waste product is a high-quality compost that can be used as a soil enhancer.
Why did we start Farmhouse Butchery?
In recent years there has been a noticeable shortage in meat cutting & abattoir facilities in British Columbia despite the ever-growing demand in the meat market. Many farmers have experienced long waits for processing availability due to the shortage. Farmhouse Butchery & MGD Farm have a strong sense of community and will ensure that our local farmers are provided the services they need while in turn also providing a place for community members and visitors to purchase quality products without having to travel to a larger centre.
